This Portable Earth Lead is designed to provide a safe and dependable temporary earthing solution for field equipment and structures where portable earthing is required. Manufactured using high-quality 50mm² Orange Aluflex cable, they are widely used across utility, transmission, distribution, and industrial environments to protect personnel and equipment from induced voltages and electrical faults.

Each Earth Lead is supplied complete with a lug and stress spring for the CE20 Earth End Clamp, together with a lug and plastic support sleeve for the CE4 Line End Clamp, providing a robust and reliable connection in demanding site conditions. Standard lead lengths are available in 10m and 20m, with bespoke lengths manufactured upon request to suit customer-specific applications.

Manufactured to a National Grid makeup, these Portable Earthing assemblies are commonly referred to as Field Earths, Tower Earths, Vehicle Earths, Plant Earth Leads, and Orange Field Earths. They are frequently used to earth scaffolding, cranes, MEWPs, access platforms, temporary structures, plant machinery, and other field equipment during maintenance and operational works.

As part of Alcomet’s Portable Earthing range, these leads can also be supplied with alternative line end clamps, including S9A Rocker Block Clamps and other industry-standard Portable Earth Clamps to meet varying site and operational requirements.

All Portable Earth Leads are electrically tested and visually inspected prior to dispatch to ensure quality, safety, and performance. Each assembly is labelled with a unique identification number to provide full traceability and assist with inspection and asset management procedures.
