Substation Insulated Operating Poles/Rods

Our operating poles (also known as insulated poles, insulation rods and insulated operating rods) are manufactured from a lightweight resin-impregnated fibre glass and is of a high electrical insulation grade.

All operating poles are manufactured, tested and approved to the ENA technical specification 41/21.

The insulated poles are machined to provide rigid assembly and include double sided snap action spring locking device. Operating poles are available as 2.44m (8ft) top and bottom sign sections or 2 1.22m (4ft) sections permanently linked to avoid a 1.22m (4ft) length of pole being fitted with an operating socket.
