Portable Earth Lead – Complete with CE20 & S9A Clamps

This Portable Earth Lead is designed to provide a reliable temporary earthing solution for field equipment and structures where safe portable earthing is essential. Manufactured using high-quality 50mm² Orange Aluflex cable, these Field Earth assemblies are commonly used throughout transmission, distribution, utility, and industrial environments to protect personnel and equipment from induced voltages, fault currents, and inadvertent energisation.

Each Portable Earth Lead is supplied complete with a lug and stress spring for the CE20 Earth End Clamp, together with a lug and plastic support sleeve for the S9A Line End Clamp, providing a secure and dependable connection in demanding site conditions. Standard lead lengths are available in 10m and 20m, with alternative lengths available upon request to suit individual operational requirements.

Manufactured to a National Grid makeup, these Field Earths are also commonly referred to as Tower Earths, Vehicle Earths, Plant Earth Leads, and Orange Field Earths. They are widely used for earthing scaffolding, cranes, MEWPs, temporary access equipment, plant machinery, and other pieces of field equipment during maintenance and construction activities.

As part of Alcomet’s wider Portable Earthing range, these Portable Earth Leads can also be supplied with alternative line end clamps, including CE4 Line End Clamps and other industry-standard Portable Earth Clamps depending on the application and site specification.

All Portable Earth Leads are electrically tested and visually inspected before dispatch to ensure quality, safety, and performance. Each Field Earth assembly is labelled with a unique identification number to provide full traceability and support inspection and asset management procedures.
