IV Drain Earth – Complete with CE20 and CE22A+B Clamps
IV Drain Earths (Induced Voltage Drain Earths) are designed to provide a safe and reliable temporary earthing solution for protection against induced voltages, impressed voltages, and inadvertent backfeed on overhead line and substation applications. Commonly used within transmission and distribution environments, it helps safeguard personnel and equipment during maintenance, testing, and isolation procedures by safely discharging unwanted electrical energy to earth.
Our IV Drain Earth assemblies are manufactured using high-quality 50mm² Orange Aluflex cable, chosen for its flexibility, durability, and excellent conductivity in demanding site conditions. Each Drain Earth is supplied complete with blue heat shrink identification bands at both ends for clear visual identification, together with a CE20 Earth End Clamp and CE22 A+B Line End Clamp as standard. Alternative clamp configurations are also available to suit specific operational requirements and site specifications.
Every lead is assembled to a high standard using robust crimped connections and heavy-duty components designed for long service life in harsh utility environments. These temporary earthing leads are suitable for use across a range of HV and LV applications where dependable portable earthing equipment is essential.
To ensure quality, safety, and compliance, all of our IV Drain Earths undergo comprehensive electrical testing and visual inspection prior to dispatch. Each assembly is labelled with a unique identification number, providing full traceability and helping customers maintain inspection and asset management records with confidence.
We can also manufacture bespoke IV Drain Earth assemblies to meet customer-specific cable lengths, clamp types, and operational requirements.
